# Datarooms

> A curated, always-current room of project material — share a link instead of maintaining a folder.

A dataroom is the answer to "can you send the data room?" without the
week of copying files: a curated room of project material — maps,
figures, tables, documents, summaries — that you share as a link, and
that stays current because it's built on your live database.

## Building one

Open your project's **dataroom workspace** and add sections: an
overview, drilling, assays, land, reports — whatever the audience needs.
Each section holds panes you curate: a live map, key figures, data
tables, uploaded documents. You can also just tell Petra what you want —
"start a dataroom for the Copper Ridge financing, drilling and land
sections first" — and she'll set up the skeleton and add material as you
direct; the room is yours to refine.

## Publishing — always your click

Nothing is visible to anyone until **you** publish. The Publish & Access
panel controls it: publish or unpublish the room and manage how guests
get in. Petra can stage everything and will hand you the button — she
never publishes a room herself.

## The guest experience

Guests open the link and see a clean, read-only room: your sections, your
ordering, your framing. They see only what you put in the room — not
your project, not your database, no edit surface anywhere.

## Keeping it current

Because panes are live views of your data, the room updates as the
project does — a new certificate's samples appear in the table pane; the
map pane shows this week's collars. Re-curating means editing the room,
not re-exporting files.
